For ski enthusiasts, it’s all here. Hotel U’Fredy is a hotel, bar and restaurant rolled into one, and if you’re not skiing you can sit out on the terrace and watch the other skiers go by.

This classic Alpine chalet provides ten comfortable guest rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and some with a balcony overlooking the Aravis mountains. The rooms are ideal for couples, families, and friends travelling together. Everything is immaculately fresh and clean, and the hosts are delightful.

There’s an excellent daily breakfast from the buffet. The hotel is so close to the slopes that it’s possible to dash back for lunch on the sunny terrace, to be followed later by an apre-ski dinner of regional cuisine, or perhaps something more universal like the U Fred Burger. There’s a friendly atmosphere at U’Fredy. What better than to perch on a bar stool or sit by the roaring fire at the end of the day and make new and like-minded friends.

There are six ski-lifts within one kilometre and the centre of La Clusaz is a 10 minute drive away. The hotel has plenty of parking, but also offers an airport shuttle service.
