Reasons to visit the Wye Valley

The river Wye winds it's way north from it's junction with the Severn estuary, taking in beautiful scenery, fascinating castles and abbeys, and amazing activity opportunities as it goes.

From the castle at Chepstow, it goes up past the famous Tintern Abbey and Hereford cathedral with the world-renowned Mapa Mundi. The deep wooded valley is filled with footpaths, cycle trails and bridleways while the river itself is a favourite with canoeists and kayakers.

Right alongside is the ancient Forest of Dean, a huge area of forest with a wealth of attractions for visitors. From helping out on conservation projects to screaming down zip-wires, it's all here.
