Domaine du Lieu des Brocs

, Le Lieu des Brocs, Brucourt, Basse-Normandie.

Domaine du Lieu des Brocs was born of the desire to create precisely the qualities the owners themselves were looking for on their own travels. Located in a beautiful country setting close to a golf course and the coast, the suites are oozing with rustic chic, surrounded by a huge garden.

The different suites are all quite independent with a private terrace and a small kitchen corner (microwave, refrigerator, etc). Each bathroom is equipped with a hydromassage Italian shower and a large bathtub. Even the smallest room is 32m2 in floor area with plenty of space, easy chairs and its own terrace. The Superior Suite (43m2) is housed in the old wine press room, and is perhaps the most traditional in decor. The Junior Suite is more rustic with big wooden timbers, offset by many contemporary elements. Biggest of all, the Family Suite boasts 54m2 of area, a big double bed for parents and a pair of single beds on a mezzanine for children.

The nearby port of Dives was the departure point for William the Conqueror to make his conquest of England, while just along the coast are the Normandy landing beaches where the WW2 Allies made their own successful arrival in France some 900 years later. This section of coast is filled with historic towns and villages and no stay in this area would be complete without visits to Bayeux, Caen, Cabourg, Lisieux, Deauville and Honfleur. The long sandy beaches are a playground for children and adults alike and there are various golf courses, most notably Brucourt Golf Club right on the doorstep.
